Registered HomeopathWhat health problems can homeopathy help with?
There are a wide range of complaints which can be helped by homeopathic treatment for example:
Chronic or longstanding illness such as painful or heavy periods, migraine, asthma, eczema, hay fever, ME, irritable bowel syndrome, insomnia, arthritis, anxiety, or depression.
Acute or short term problems such as mouth ulcers, abscesses, teething problems in babies, morning sickness during pregnancy, coughs, colds and flu, glandular fever, or tendon and ligament injuries. How much does treatment cost?
From January 2008 the initial 90 minute consultation fee is £65 for an adult and £40 for a child 12 -18 yrs. Younger children 3-12 years £30 and babies £25.
Follow up appointments which last up to 45 minutes are £45 for an adult and £35 for a child over 12 years. Young children £25 and babies £20.
The fees include the cost of the homeopathic remedy, the 2-3hrs of analysis, postage and packing.
People are seen monthly for the first two months depending on the nature of their condition and then that interval is usually increased as they improve to a 6 monthly check up.
How long does treatment take?
This will vary according to the individual but it is a good idea to consider three appointments initially, particularly if you have had your symptoms a long while. This will allow sufficient time to make a realistic assessment of the benefit your treatment is having and your response to the remedies. As a guide, the more recent a complaint the more rapidly it can improve, whereas a long established condition can take a little longer.
What about seeing my doctor or dentist?
You should maintain contact with your GP as he or she is able to arrange any diagnostic tests you may need and 24 hour cover.
If you are already taking prescribed medicines, you should mention to your doctor that you are seeing a homeopath and I am very happy to contact them about your homeopathic treatment if necessary and explain to them that the remedies cannot interfere with conventional medical treatment.
I do make home visits if my patients have difficulty with transport.
